Figurative
Figurative work forms the core of the practice, often expressed through drawing and painting. It explores identity, emotion, and presence through the human form, using the body as a site for narrative, symbolism, and psychological depth.
Standing before myself as a subject was one of the most difficult things I have done as an artist. This self-portrait is not about appearance or likeness; it is about searching inward and asking who I am beneath the surface. The raw, layered image and scattered sticky notes hold fragments of emotion, doubt, reflection, and realization.
